First Event Complete

Pattern: Roza's Socks
Yarn: Lisa Souza Sock, Black
Needles: Susan Bates #1 DPN's

Notes: I cast these socks on when they were initially published in Interweave in the Spring of 2007, and at the time I planned on making them for myself. After a while I realized that they weren't going to be for me. They just didn't feel like they were mine. And then my Aunt Cathy asked for a pair of socks* and I just knew...they were hers.

I made these socks part of my WIP Wrestling Event for the Ravelympics because they've been on my needles for over a year. The pattern is dead simple, and the result is a very wearable pair of stylish socks.

I hope my Aunt Cathy enjoys them!

*I have to admit that my Aunt Cathy (AKA Kelly's Mom) asked for socks for a long time before I committed to making her a pair. However, she was so geniunely impressed by the socks I made her daughter, and clothes I've made her granddaughter, and so supportive of my knitting that I knew she'd love these socks until there are holes in the toes and heels.
