Pink lady knits

The best laid plans...

Well, here it is, Sunday, and I am not well enough to make it to the last day of the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Everyone around me told me that they anticipated me not being able to attend, but I was so determined... Oh well, I suppose there is always next year. I was unprepared for how I'd feel after surgery, and I'm so glad it's over. The procedure itself wasn't too bad, and my husband has been taking excellent care of me since I've been home, which makes everything seem better.

I have managed a little knitting while recovering, and I wanted to share it with you now. I completed Baby Nicol's hat and sock set, and now I can send the package off to her Mom to share with her once she arrives.

I hope that she loves this little set, I think it will fit her for a while to come (since I used larger gauge yarn than either of the patterns called for.)

Patterns: Cabled Baby Hats and Owen's Socks

Yarn: Jaeger Matchmaker Merino
Needles: #4 and #2 Addi DPN's
Notes: What can I say about this project? I've knit the hat and the socks many times before and I've enjoyed the process each time. The sock pattern should be free of errors now that I've gone through it with a fine-tooth comb, but let me know if you find any.

I believe Lolly's recent color work has inspired me to pick up my Endpaper Mitts again...so hopefully I'll have progress to show you on those soon.

Thanks Lolly! I appreciate it...
Also, since we didn't get to meet up at MDSW, I'd love to take you up on a get together somewhere local, we are so close together that we almost have to meet up. Maybe we can meet at a yarn shop around town? Let me know. :)
