Project Spectrum - FIRE

The Project Spectrum theme for the months of February and March was FIRE...and I really enjoyed it!

I have some finished some things here and there, and I also started a few that aren't quite done. I also managed to incorporate a little fire into my cooking.

In the knitting arena, I completed my 28Thirty and a baby hat for my friend Kelly. I started
a Shetland Triangle for my friend Jen and matching baby socks for the hat I made. Here are some photos...

I really enjoyed playing with fire (no pun intended) in my cooking. All of the recipes for these dishes are on my food blog, so feel free to wander over and check them out.

Very Veg Pizza

All in all it was a fun month for me...I'm looking forward to the new colors...green, brown, and metallics. I just bought myself a brand new ball of yarn in anticipation...

I think it's destined to become a hat. But which hat should it be? Opinions?

Wow, you really did well with Project Spectrum! I love that green yarn - Foliage would be lovely in that.

Elizabeth - Thanks! I always feel like I haven't done enough with Project Spectrum...but I think that's just because I see everyone else's projects...
I'm digging the Malabrigo too...it wants to be a hat. I love the idea of Foliage, and I've even seen one in this exact yarn.

ekgheiy - Thanks! I appreciate it...I actually wear it A LOT. More than once a week. So much so that I think I'm going to make a second one. So stay tuned for photos of that...
Ohhh, I love the idea of cables in Malabrigo...something about the yarn makes it seem like they'd be so squishy! And that hat is gorgeous....
So many decisions!

I LOVE that 28Thirty sweater; I have the pattern but I won't get to it for a while. Yours is a seriously fab color. Thanks for your post on my blog. I am doing a Mr. Greenjeans in Malabrigo, it has cables and it looks awesome so far.

Hi Courtney,
and thank you so much for leaving such a nice comment in my blog! I enjoyed looking through your projects, I especially liked your Juliet. 28Thirty looks really nice too, can't wait to see it modelled. :-)

My vote is for Gretel -- I think that beautiful green yarn is just begging to be a cabled beret!
