A Very Yarny Christmas

I was fortunate this year to receive several yarn and knitting gifts from the people who love me. My husband got me Double Point needle holders, which ROCK. I don't know what I did before I had these. I'll ask my hubby for the name of the company that makes them, and then link.

My friend, and avid reader Erin (Hi Erin!) sent me a beautiful package with Debbie Bliss Pure Silk (yum) and gorgeous stitch markers.

Little does she know, she has a package of yarny goodness coming her way soon! I love this yarn, it's so soft and luxurious. I'll have to come up with something that will be close to my face as a pattern because I keep rubbing up against the yarn. It's so soft!

Ben and Amy, who have been all over the world lately, also brought me yarn for Christmas:

It's a handspun, hand-dyed wool from New Zealand and I'm so excited to try it out. The subtle variegation is beautiful and suits me very well.

Coming up soon, finished shots of my husbands "Christmas" sweater, progress on Endpaper, photos of my Mom's new socks and a capelet for me. Stayed tuned!

Hey Courtney! I'm so glad that you like the yarn - I figured the combination of pink and silk was perfect for you! Well, now I know where the good LYSs are in Vegas - we'll have to explore them together sometime! BTW, how is VJs sweater coming along? Were you able to finish it for Xmas? Something very difficult to do, I imagine, since you were trying to do it all in secret!

Yes, it's beautiful and I love it. I have a few projects in mind for it...so stay tuned!
I wasn't able to finish it in time for Christmas...and it's no longer a secret. Though, that worked out OK since it doesn't fit very well in general and I needed to adjust things here and there. It's being [re]seamed now, and is making good progress...so stay tuned for photos.
Can't wait to hit the LYS!
