Pink lady knits

I blame Ravelry...

for my long absence! I've been updating my projects, stash and queue and haven't made it over in a while. However, I wanted to update my reader (Hi Erin!) on what I've been up to lately.
Let's see....there are a few scarves being knit at Chez Stansbury, which is seasonally appropriate. I've got a nice simple 1x1 rib scarf on the needles for my Father (note to myself to finish that soon), as well as Danica for myself. Danica is allowing me to explore the magic and wonder of enterlac, a skill that, until recently, I was convinced I would never master. It is simple, however, and I am smitten. I want to make everything out of enterlac, and moreover, Noro. I've been using Kureyon for Danica and it's an amazingly beautiful yarn. The color! The mind reels at how much deliberate planning goes into each and every ball of yarn. I am not too far in on my Father's scarf, and I am either 1/3 or 1/2 way through Danica depending on whether I choose to buy another ball of yarn, or stick it out with just the two. I am thinking I will probably go get another ball, but I can see it stretching a lot when it blocks...so I don't know for sure yet.
I am also currently working on Glee. And by "currently" I mean I've cast on for it and completely forgotten that it exists. I don't anticipate that being completed any time soon...though you just never know. The only other project lingering in the pile is the Irish Diamond Shawl, which is good news! I'm actually down to just a few WIPs...it makes me feel so organized!
I am longing to cast on for the Tree Jacket next, though I think it is more likely that I will start working on something I already have the yarn for. Photos soon. :)

Haha! Thanks for updating your most loyal reader!! And I was trying really hard to not bug you, since I know ravelry must be so exciting! Only 2946 ahead of me now, it can't be much longer! Have you started your Xmas knitting yet? I figure I'd better get started soon! Can't wait to see pics of what you're working on! :o)

Ravelry is cool, it's so much fun to have it all in one place...there are so many patterns housed there, and they have the yarn requirements right on hand...it's nice.
I'm only knitting on thing for Christmas this year, and yes, I've started it. Last year was just too stressful with all of the deadlines and it really burned me out. I think I'll try to just knit one thing a year from now on.
I'll be posting some progress photos today...stay tuned!

Surely you have more than one reader!
