I am so pleased and really have the bestest pal! I had a laundry list of things I did and didn't want (which could have been helpful or irritating, depending on your opinion of things) and Amber did everything I asked for! Wow!
First, the socks. She knit me Beaudelaire (cables and lace, like I wanted) in Lisa Souza Sock! (my go-to sock yarn) in Jonquil (bright variegated colors, no stripes), toe up and with short row heels (check, check!) she literally gave me everything I wanted. How exciting. Want to see them?

She also included some postcards (I apologize to my pal for not knowing about this tradition until I had sent out the package...next time I will send a postcard!) of her and her friends at their studio. Yes, she has a studio for knitting, designing and hoarding stash...how luxurious!
Thank you so much Amber, you made my very first swap such a joy for me!

Wow! Those are great socks!
I can agree with you because I didn't knit them! They ARE amazing, aren't they? LOL.
Thanks!
Oh, they're beautiful, Courtney! How very fortunate you are :o)
Thanks! I am so pleased, I feel really fortunate. I don't know why (the pessimist in me, I suppose) but I always felt like I would be one of those who weren't knit for...so imagine my glee when these appeared! :)
