On Sunday we went to my Mother in Law's house to have dinner and see how her shrug would fit her and if it would "go" with her wedding gown. I was happy to discover that it fits perfectly. It is precisely the length that she wanted, and the sleeves are perfect caps! In addition to that, the color of the yarn matches the ribbons in her gown perfectly. I was a little concerned about the color, but the it all comes together, don't you think? I pinned the picot border and pinned the sleeves into place for the photos...wanna see them? I know you do!
Last night I sat down and seamed the picots (they looks great) and tonight, after pilates, I plan to seam the sleeves (they are really short) and pick up the stitches around the rest of the border to attach a picot there as well. I hope this looks good, and I think it will "finish" it a little better. The next shots you see of these on a person will be on my Mother in Law on her wedding day!
*Small sidenote: I only cropped her face out because she wasn't wearing any makeup and I knew I would catch flack for it if I left the photo whole...she is beautiful, but you'll have to wait until after the wedding day to see the pictures for yourself!

Wow! It looks great :)
And what a lovely dress!
Thanks ladies!!! Hopefully the additional picot edge will add just what it needs to be "finished"...we'll see.
The shrug is perfect for her gown, and fits her perfectly!! She will make a stunning bride!
