Natalie's Blanket

Pattern: Moderne Log Cabin Blanket
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Ease
Needles: #7 Clover Bamboo

I can finally say that I've finished Natalie's blanket. If you've been paying attention for the last few months, you'll recognize this as the project formerly known as Poppy's Blanket. However, since the little pickle has been born, her parents blessed her with the beautiful and fitting name of Natalie, hence, Natalie's Blanket.

The finishing on this took me all day. It sucked, I won't lie. I'm really happy this is done, and I pretty much never want to do it again. I don't know if my issues are due to working on a 1964 Singer table model (which hasn't been cleaned or serviced in way too long) or to my complete lack of knowledge and patience when it comes to sewing. I do believe I should take a class if I ever plan to sew again.

However miserable the stitching is, it is at least passable and shouldn't fall apart in the wash (which is a concern whenever knitting/sewing for children.) I do hope that baby and Mama like the colors I chose, I think that they are kinda retro, which I dig.

Anyway, another WIP Wrestling project for the books. I only have my February Lady Sweater left...and I'd better get moving!

Looks great! And I don't think you should rule out doing something like this again. I'll bet your first knits weren't perfect, either!
