The Cute Factor

I have updates, but no photos.

I was home sick yesterday, and still feel a little off today. I did manage to finish the first of Amber's Log Cabin Socks, and I begun my Father's (New and Improved) Christmas Socks as well. After much contemplation, I decided to make him the simple stockingnette "Winter" sock from Knitting Vintage Socks. The yarn is self striping, so I didn't want to do a pattern that would obscure the stripes. The heel on that sock (I can't remember which it is now, sorry) is VERY interesting, I had a really good time turning it last night. I'll take photos of the one finished Log Cabin sock and Daddy's Christmas sock in progress tonight. (I'll get a good close up of that heel too, promise!)

Anyway, in the place of knitted items, I wanted to post a few photos of some cute knitting moments for Kathy. I had just ordered my fist large quantity of yarn from Knit Picks, and had taken it all out of the box to photograph it for my lovely reader. Heh heh. OK, readers. Anyway, here it is in all it's glory:

While I was photographing, I turned to the side to see what Bubba was up to, and saw this:

That's Bella. In a box. Not just any box....a box that had been filled with yarn. She sniffed it, and licked it, and chewed it a little too. I manged to get her to stop long enough to pose for this photo, which is why she looks so surly. When I turned around to find Bubba, he was right there:

Like RIGHT there....and very cute, as usual. Once he licked my nose for a minute (and sniffed at the fingers that had been fondling the yarn), I managed to get him to back up long enough to pose with Mommy's new sock yarn:

Which appeared to scare him a little, cause he rarely makes that face. Also, he rarely leaves yarn alone like that! (And yes, he is a big boy. Tipping the scales at 21 pounds. Bella is a petite 11, and the ever-elusive Faceman is a mere 8.5.)

Nevertheless, those are my cute kitties...and my yarn. Faceman is not pictured, but then, he is generally disinterested in my yarn. Only jealous when it takes my lap from him. I'll see if VJ can get a photo of us together tonight while I am knitting.

WIP (and maybe a FO?) photos tomorrow.

Dang. That is a lot of Knit Picks yarn. What are you going to do with it?

Elizabeth,
It is currently being knit into all those Christmas gifts. Every single skein there will be used for Christmas, none of it goes into my stash. Too bad. Every time you see something knit in Wool of the Andes...that means it was in that pile.
It was fun to open, then I realized I didn't get to keep any of it.... :(

Wow! That's a lot of yarn! Bummer that you don't get to keep any of it to play with.... Great pictures of your cats, they are so adorable! :o)
