Yarn Porn...

So, I decided that I would knit gifts for Christmas this year. I am making either socks or scarves and hats.
Here is my list and what I am using to make each one.....

Birthdays:
Mom - Jaywalker Socks - Lisa Souza "Mardi Gras" Sock! Yarn
Mother-in-Law - Jaywalker Socks - Lisa Souza "Little Devil" Sock! Yarn

Christmas:
Mom - Branching Out Scarf - Lisa Souza "Seamist" Alpaca
Mother-in-Law - Branching Out Scarf - Lisa Souza "Seamist" Alpaca
Dad - Thuja Socks - Lisa Souza "Gendarme" Sock! Yarn
Brother - Thuja Socks - Lisa Souza "Wild Things" Sock! Yarn
Hubby - Thuja Socks - Lisa Souza "Black" Sock! Yarn
Hat and Scarf Set - Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in "Rain" and "Blue Bonnet"
Cousin (and best friend) Kelly - Jaywalker Socks - Lisa Souza "Sky Drama" Sock! Yarn
Sister-in-Law - Sporty Ankle Socks - Knit Picks Shine Sport in "Apple" and "Grass"
Boyfriend of Mother-in-Law - Hat and Scarf set - Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in "Cranberry"
Husband of Mom - Scarf - Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in "Fern"
Boyfriend of Sister-in-Law - Hat and Scarf set - Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in "Coal" and "Hyacinth" (Ravens colors)
Husband of Cousin Kelly - Scarf - Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in "Mist" and "Carrot"
Father-in-Law - Hat and Scarf set - Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in "Stream"

I ordered all the yarn for these projects a few weeks ago and all of the yarn from List Souza (www.lisaknit.com) came in yesterday. I can't express enough how beautiful her yarn is, she is a true artist with the dye and the yarn itself is really pure and even. I was swooning! I didn't want to stop rubbing the alpaca on my cheek, it is luxury defined! I believe that my order from Knit Picks should be in today or tomorrow and I will post photos of all of it together as soon as I get my greedy little paws on it! I will also, of course, post photos of the projects in progress as well as finished. I am hoping to switch them up a little by staggering a scarf and hat set with a pair of socks. I am a little nervous about the Branching Out scarves, since it will be my first forray into lace knitting...I can't wait though, it is going to look amazing in this alpaca. :)
